L'affascinante St Devids e' situata nella parte piu' occidentale
della penisola britannica a circa 26 km a nord-ovest di
Haverfordwest e 26 km a ovest di Fishguard, 175 km da Cardiff.
La catterdale di St Davis e' senza dubbio una delle piu' belle
del paese. Festivals musicali, esibizioni artistiche e teatri
all'aperto. Bellissime spiagge di sabbia e sentieri
escursionistici lungo la costa. Imbarchi per Ramsey Island.

La regione Galles
Il Galles č situato ad ovest dell’Inghilterra, racchiuso tra le
cittŕ di Liverpool a nord e Bristol a sud. A sud la vallata del
ŤWieť e le rovine dell’Abbazia di -Tintern. Di fronte a Swansea,
la seconda cittŕ della regione, si trova la penisola di Gower,
area protetta. Sulla costa sud in direzione est si trova
Pembroke. Da visitare: la fortezza eretta sul litorale ed il
ŤPembrokeshire National Parkť. Numerose localitŕ balneari
circondano la baia di Cardigan. La parte settentrionale del
Galles č apprezzata dagli amici della natura grazie ai suoi
paesaggi montani costellati di laghi e le sue colline
verdeggianti che intervallano le cos-tiere rocciose.
Attractive St Davids is situated on the most
westerly peninsula of mainland Britain approx 26 km north west
of Haverfordwest and 26 km south west of Fishguard and approx
175 km from Cardiff. St Davids cathedral is probably one of the
most lovely in the country. Music festivals, craft and art
exhibitions and open air theatre take place here. There are four
beautiful sandy beaches and coastal path for walkers. Boat trips
to Ramsey Island to see the seals. Craft shops, pubs and
restaurant. Plenty of things to see and do in the area and ideal
position for touring the beautiful Pembrokeshire coast.
The region Wales
Wales is beautiful and varied. There is the natural countryside
with green hills, mountains, lakes and rivers ideal for nature
lovers. There are wonderful sandy beaches along Cardigan Bay
often with coastal walking paths to enjoy, lively seaside
resorts on the north coast, national parks, working steam
railways and of course lively and interesting cities. You will
discover lots of castles and other interesting places to visit
in Wales such as Caernarfon, St Davids, the copy of an Italian
village at Portmerrian famous for pottery, Colwyn Bay, Snowdonia
etc etc . There are many local cheese makers, and candle and
pottery workshops where you can buy the hand made produce. The
Welsh have their own language and road signs are shown in Welsh
and English. There are ferry services to Ireland from Wales. |
